Warning Message:A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until midnight EST Wednesday night. A steady snow will spread across northern New York by midnight. Snow will continue through the overnight hours. The snow will mix with sleet toward morning...south of the thruway. By dawn...expect 2 to 4 inches of snow accumulation. Expect a mix of snow...sleet and freezing rain south of the thruway with mainly snow north of the thruway Wednesday morning. Any mixed precipitation will change back to snow Wednesday afternoon...before tapering to snow showers Wednesday evening. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches are likely north of the thruway with 5 to 8 inches south of the thruway by late Wednesday evening. Up to a coating of ice is expected south of the thruway as well. A Winter Storm Warning means severe winter weather conditions are expected. Travel will become dangerous later tonight and Wednesday.
